If you have a sofa or similar furniture positioned against the rear wall, you can install the RS0802 in an inconspicuous location behind the sofa, and as long as there is open space toward the speakers at both ends, you can enjoy sufficient sound dispersion.
It is also possible to suspend and install the RS0802 from the ceiling. Since you won't be bothered by the presence of speakers or wiring, this option is particularly well-received by customers who are planning new construction or renovations.

I would like to request hook processing for the FC1332 as I want to hang it from the ceiling as well?

We accept consultations for hook processing of the FC1332.
The FC1332 has a center speaker positioned in the center, and if hook processing is performed, the position of the center speaker will be fixed. Unlike the MS1001 series and others, it is designed to reproduce sound in the forward direction to make dialogue more audible during surround playback, so adjustments to the installation position affect the acoustic experience.

Can the FC1332 only be used for 5.1ch?

Accepted Answer

While the FC1332 is designed for home theater speaker systems, it also excels in stereo playback.
Most commercially available DVD and Blu-Ray software supports 5.1ch surround sound, but CD, radio, and most regular TV program audio are in stereo 2ch format.
By selecting the stereo mode on your amplifier, the FC1332 can provide 2ch playback enjoyment just like the MS1001 series.
Depending on the source material, it can function as both 5.1ch front/center speakers and 2ch stereo speakers - a versatile solution.

For customers already using M's system speakers, you can easily enjoy 5.1ch playback using an AV amplifier by placing your existing speakers at the rear as rear speakers and additionally preparing FC1332 and SW1662A.However, amplifier-integrated types such as "Chocolat/Vanilla," "Chouette!," and "Shadow Speaker" are not compatible with "Dokodemo."

Question 45

The sound is low when connected to the headphone jack

Accepted Answer

The output from the headphone jack is preset to be lower than the volume of the TV's built-in speakers for safety reasons.
When using with MTVS, please set the amplifier volume to around the 12 o'clock position first, then adjust to the appropriate volume using the remote control.
Since the volume of the TV's built-in speakers and the headphone jack volume settings are separate and independent values with no correlation to each other, it is safe to turn up the headphone jack volume to about 80-90% of maximum.

For further audio enhancement, some TVs are also equipped with analog audio output terminals.
In addition to the headphone jack, you can also connect to analog audio output terminals (monitor audio output), so please try according to your preference.
※ The analog audio output terminal shape may not be compatible with the included stereo mini cable.
　 In such cases, please prepare a compatible audio cable separately.

Sound comes out from both the TV speakers and the system simultaneously

You need to configure your TV to output audio only through the device connected to the headphone jack.

There are two ways to enjoy music from your smartphone through the wave-motion speaker.

Method A — Wireless (Bluetooth)
By connecting a Bluetooth receiver to the amplifier, you can play music wirelessly from your smartphone.

If You Are Using the SLA Chocolat / Vanilla
Because the SLA series has a built-in amplifier, you do not need to prepare a separate amplifier; it produces sound simply by connecting directly to your smartphone. The cable you connect differs depending on your device. We will guide you with videos.

If You Are Using an iPhone
Recent iPhones have no earphone jack, so connect to the LINE IN of the SLA body using a "USB-C → 3.5mm" or "Lightning → 3.5mm" conversion cable.

If You Are Using Android
Models with an earphone jack can be connected as-is with the single included stereo mini cable (3.5mm). For models without an earphone jack, please use a "USB-C → 3.5mm" conversion cable.

Going Wireless with a Bluetooth Receiver
Using a commercially available Bluetooth receiver, you can play music from your smartphone on the SLA without connecting any cables.

What speaker cable should I use?

Accepted Answer

Please first use the speaker cable included with the product. If you wish to use commercially available cables, we recommend BELDEN 8470 or BELDEN 8460.

Connection Procedure

STEP 1
Strip approximately 10mm of insulation from the cable end to expose the copper wire.

STEP 2
Turn the speaker terminal screw counterclockwise to loosen it until the hole is visible.

STEP 3
Insert only the copper wire portion into the terminal hole. Make sure not to catch the vinyl insulation.

STEP 4
Turn the screw clockwise to tighten. Gently pull the cable to confirm it will not come loose.

STEP 5
Connect red cable → red terminal (+ side), colorless cable → black terminal (- side). Follow the same procedure for both left and right (L・R) channels.

⚠ Connection cannot be made by inserting the cable from the side. Always thread it through the hole before securing with the screw.

If you have an amplifier, a stereo system, a mini stereo system, or any other player with a built-in amplifier, you can connect and enjoy it easily as long as it is a type whose speakers can be detached.
  The steps shown here use the original amplifier W-Amp12 as an example, but you can connect other amplifiers, stereo systems, and mini stereo systems in almost the same way.Because the shape of the speaker connection terminals and other details may differ depending on the model of your amplifier, stereo system, or mini stereo system, please refer to the instruction manual for each model as you carry out the installation.

      Check the terminal panel on the rear. Please confirm the positions of Right (R) / Left (L) and red (+) / black (-).

      Loosen the speaker terminals.
      
      Turn the terminal screws counterclockwise (to the left), loosening them until the hole for passing the cable becomes visible.

      Connect the SP cable to the speaker.
      
      Pass the cable through the hole, aligning the colors of the cable with the red (+) and black (-) of the terminals, then turn the screws clockwise (to the right) to secure them.※ Placing the unit on its side on a soft cloth makes it easier to insert the cable from below.

      Connect the SP cable to the amplifier as well.
      
      Connect the opposite end of the cable attached to the speaker to the amplifier's speaker terminals.※ Connect Right (R) to Right (R) and Left (L) to Left (L). Match red (+) and black (-) and secure them.

M's system catalogs list specifications such as "Impedance 8Ω". In simple terms, impedance is "resistance to AC signals". Since consumer amplifiers on the market typically support 6Ω to 16Ω, we recommend using home-use amplifiers.

What is allowable input?

Accepted Answer

MS1001 series and RS0802 have "15W" while MS-ch307 series has "10W". Allowable input can be simply defined as "the limit at which audio signals can be input without causing damage". Normal optimal playback is said to require only a few watts, so this is more than sufficient for enjoying proper playback volume.

The maximum output of the amplifier I'm currently using is 100W. Will it break if I connect it?

Accepted Answer

Many amplifiers currently on the market display maximum output specifications that significantly exceed the allowable input of M's system speakers.The appropriate audio signal level for daily listening is said to be just a few watts, around 1W to 2W. You can use them safely as long as you don't turn the volume up extremely high. Please start with the volume turned down, gradually increase it, and enjoy at a moderate sound level.

What is the minimum resonance frequency?

This is a numerical value representing "the limit of low-frequency sound that a speaker can reproduce," measured in Hz (Hertz) and called f-zero (fo). While it serves as a reference point for bass output, a superior (smaller) numerical value does not necessarily mean better sound quality. Please consider this as a reference value only, and we recommend experiencing the actual sound through a listening session.
